Season 1

Episode 1- City Vet, Country Vet
Meet Dr. Cori Stephen and Dr. Allison Hay, two vets in two different locations. One resides in the country and the other in the city, but both share their passion for keeping animals, from foxes to pet pigs, happy and healthy.
Episode 2- The Cat Came Back
Dr. Emma Jackson takes on a new role at one of Calgary’s busiest animal rescue shelters while Dr. Allison’s love for cats shines through as she provides emergency surgery on an ageing cat with a broken leg.
Episode 3- Cats, Cows and Cryptorchids
Dr. Cori puts on a smile for her least favourite job: cow pregnancy testing. Dr. Allison treats an orange cat with a skin condition and uses a musical trick to calm the nerves of a soon-to-be neutered dog.
Episode 4- It’s a Dog’s Life
Dr. Emma sets off on a road trip to Siksika Nation to help stray dogs get healthy and find their forever homes. In Saskatoon, Dr. Allison examines a worrying lump on an older dog with a big personality.
Episode 5- Ranger Danger
Dr. Cori taps into her wealth of experience to bring Ranger, the ailing cat, back from a life-or-death situation. In Saskatoon, a lost kitty gets a clean bill of health and finds a loving home with one of Dr. Allison’s team members.
Episode 6- Our Pets, Ourselves
Dr. Allison’s clinic is full of nerves and worry as she and her staff bring in their own animals for vet care. Dr. Emma picks up some tips for working with small companion animals from Calgary’s top exotic vet specialist.
Episode 7- Rainbow Puppy
Dr. Cori does emergency surgery on Bijoux, a tiny shih tzu puppy in a life-or-death situation. Dr. Allison brings her veterinarian skills to help a small northern Saskatchewan Cree community with the health of their pets.
Episode 8- Tip Of The Iceberg
Dr. Emma takes on her first rabbit surgery and tackles her fear of rodents. Dr. Allison and the team realize Callie the dog has more than a sore tooth when a routine dental reveals bigger problems below the surface.
Episode 9- Major Problems
Dr. Cori’s team is busy when they find a mysterious scar on a new shop cat and assist a puppy who was hurt after leaping from a car. In Saskatoon, Dr. Allison discovers an infection in a dog but is less confident in her dancing abilities as she learns to jig.
Episode 10- The Ahousaht Way
Volunteering with the Mission PAWSible mobile vet unit in a remote Indigenous community, Dr. Emma manages loose dogs getting rowdy at the clinic. A routine spay takes a shocking turn when she finds a bullet in a dog.
Episode 11- Meant To Be
Dr. Cori sees it all, from stray puppies and anxious dogs with persistent paw injuries, to horses needing dental work. Dr. Allison tackles a growing lump on cuddly Jorah and takes an x-ray that means bad news for an older dog.
Episode 12- Dogs Saving Dogs
Dr. Allison and her team must monitor Shelby the Shih Tzu while trying to remove hundreds of tiny, grainy bladder stones. In Calgary, Dr. Emma and her team are trying to wrangle dogs for a blood drive, emphasis on trying!
Episode 13- Trooper Trouble
Dr. Cori sees Trooper the dog over several days to figure out why he won’t eat, and each day the stakes get higher. After a tricky eye surgery on Ben the dog, Dr. Allison heads to the bush with her mom for a dog sledding adventure!
