Skipper Dwane leads his crew into the waters of Fiordland on the southern coast of New Zealand. As the weather deteriorates, the crew gets a scare from below the surface.

Newcomer Storm comes along for the ride. Despite being 16, Storm is determined to make his mark as a valued member of the crew. Dwane is forced to make an executive decision when faced by a boisterous sevengill shark.

The crew of the San Nicholas head to the southernmost part of Stewart Island, the last stop before Antarctica. Despite the icy waters and cold conditions, the competition between the divers is fierce.

Skipper Dwane and the crew head to a reliable urchin dive spot. A keen young dingy boy, George, endures a baptism of fire as the team tries to fill a backlog of orders.

A fast turnaround order forces Dwane and his team to try to deliver in half their usual time. Despite the divers' relentless work ethic, they are met with a huge surprise back at port.

In the season finale, Dwayne goes out to fill a massive order of urchins. However technical problems, freezing temperatures and the power of the Southern Ocean puts the whole operation in jeopardy.
