It’s summer in Churchill, and tourists are arriving to see thousands of belugas crowding the bay. But this year, a growing number of polar bears have also arrived in town. While their arrival is lucrative for the guides, it makes life dangerous for the locals.

Everyone is on edge when a large polar bear, known as Big Bear, kills one of Brian Ladoon’s dogs. While Dennis and Andrew use night-vision cameras to find the bear, a storm traps Kelsey and the crew in a dilapidated shack surrounded by migrating bears.

With summer coming to an end in Churchill, the belugas are on the move, leaving only the polar bears and the locals in town. But there’s plenty to do before fall arrives, which means Danny, Andrew, Kelsey and Karine will have their hands full for a while.
