Episode 1 –Tolaga
In this episode, Piri Weepu heads to Tolaga Bay in search of crayfish and kina with the help of local, Richard Meihana. Piri learns about the local history from a kuia and he plucks freshwater mussels from the river bed ahead of a whanau gathering.
Episode 2 – Wairarapa
Piri Weepu meets up with Matt Paku in Masterton, Wairarapa to try his hand at eeling. Piri then heads to Martinborough to meet two locals, James and Jono, who take him deer hunting and show him how to break in a horse.
Episode 3 – Herekino Wildboar
Piri Weepu heads north to Herekino, a small settlement southwest of Kaiataia. He meets local brothers, Chad and Theo, who take him on an epic pig-hunting adventure. Piri also gets a taste of bush honey and rides a horse.
Episode 4 – Rangiputa Kina
In this episode, Piri Weepu heads north to Rangiputa to go diving for kina. Guided by locals Wikatana and Sandy, the trio hit the water in order to provide kaimoana for a gathering.
Episode 5 –Turangi
Piri Weepu heads to Turangi to meet locals Tau and Iraia. The trio go fly fishing in some remote spots on the upper reaches of the Tongariro River, only accessible by whitewater rafting.
Episode 6 –Wellington
Piri Weepu is in his hometown of Wellington with his dive team, The Kina Crew. They’re doing what they do best: diving for kai moana. The Kina Crew hit the western and southern coastlines to collect kai ahead of their annual meeting.
Episode 7 – Chatham's Wild Ram
In this episode, Piri Weepu is in the Chatham Islands hunting wild ram and weka with local, Big Jase. While on the hunt, Piri gets to take in some of the stunning sights on the island.
Episode 8 – Chatham's Hapuka
Piri Weepu visits the Chatham Islands to delve in some water-based activities. Local Floyd Prendeville takes Piri spear fishing for hāpuka and drifting for flounder.
Episode 9 – Arahura Whitebait
In this episode, Piri travels to the West Coast of the South Island to visit his grandparents. Uncle Tangi and cousin Arama teach Piri how to catch whitebait on the Arahura River.
Episode 10– Tokomaru Kingfish
Piri Weepu heads to Ngati Porou country to meet with Tokomaru Bay local, Colin Skudder. Colin takes Piri deep sea fishing for kingfish. Later on, a father and son duo take Piri into the surrounding hills to go deer stalking.
