Episode 1 — Rankin Inlet
Meet Pujjuut Kusugak, he is an Inuk father, husband and a proud member of the community of Rankin Inlet. Join him on the land where he helps prepare caribou meat with his aunt Emily Tagoona and as he reflects on his late father, Jose Kusugak.
Episode 2 — Arviat 1
Welcome to Arviat! Pujjuut was born here and still has many family members that live in the community. While in Arviat, Puj meets with Olivia Tagalik a young woman involved in the local museum and with the Arviat Elders drum dance group.
Episode 3 — Arviat 2
Arviat has one of the youngest populations in Nunavut. Pujjuut speaks to a group of youth about the young hunters program and the community greenhouse project. He also spends some time getting to know a young local artist who is colouring her community with fun murals.
Episode 4 — Iqaluit
Pujjuut has just arrived to Iqaluit with his children for the Iqaluit hockey camp. Pujjuut is one of the instructors. Jesse Mike, the camp organizer, invites Puj over for some quaq (frozen meat) and to learn more about the camp and healthy living.
Episode 5 — Kugluktuk
This is Pujjuuts first time in Kugluktuk, a community very close to the western border of the N.W.T. While here, Puj meets with mayor and community historian, Red Pedersen, local painter, John Allukpik, and famous fiddler Colin Adjun and his son Gus.
Episode 6 — Iglulik’s Northern Haze
Northern Haze is one of Nunavut first rock bands. Pujjuut is a huge fan as many Nunavummiut are! He is very excited to see them perform while in Iglulik and of course to learn more about them and their music.
Episode 7 — Igloolik with Zacharias Kunuk
Iglulik is very cold today! However, Pujjuut is warm inside the small and rugged little studio of Kinguliit Productions. He meets Zacharias Kunuk, Natar Ungalaaq and Carol Kunnuk and learns that they are in the middle of preparing to make a new film.
Episode 8 — Pangnirtung 1
Pangnitung is known as one of the most beautiful and scenic communities in Nunavut. With the Auyittuq park and the stunning mountains. Pujjuut Kusugak meets David Kilabuk, a well-known photographer, as well as Meeka and Abraham Arnaqaq, respected Elders of the community.
Episode 9 — Pangnirtung 2
Pangnirtung has one of the most active printshops in the territory. Pujjuut gets a personal tour of the Uqqurmiut Centre for Arts and Crafts. He also spends time with Danny Ishulutak, a youth leader in the community.
Episode 10 — Clyde River
Clyde River is home to Nunavut’s first cultural school, Piqqusilirivvik. Pujjuut checks out the state of the art school.
Episode 11 — Pond Inlet
Pujjuut is now feeling the effects of zero sunlight. Pujjuut learns about the Arctic College and community archiving projects while in the community.
Episode 12 — Ottawa (Nunavut Sivuniksavut Program)
The Nunavut Sivuniksavut program has educated many students and politicians in Nunavut in the 30 years it’s been in operation – Pujjuut is one of them. While in Ottawa, Puj spends time at the school meeting students and teachers.
Episode 13 — Ottawa (Politics)
Pujjuut meets with Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami president, Terry Audla. In the past year, Puj has been to many communities and has met many people across the territory.
