Episode 1- Going Maya Pyramids
Drew heads to the Yucatan in Mexico where he discovers the echoes of the Maya people and their incredible pyramids. He is accompanied by an archeologist who has spent three decades unlocking the secrets of the ancient Maya.
Episode 2- Going Maya
In the Yucatan, Drew discovers the Maya people are alive and well, and very far from being an extinct culture. He learns unique ways of cooking traditional foods, harvesting honey, and making music, all while taking in the beauty of the jungle.
Episode 3- Going Games
Drew reveals the games Indigenous people play while exploring the Maya of Mexico, the First Nations of Australia, and the Inuvialuit at the Arctic Games in Tuktoyaktuk.
Episode 4- Going Afterlife
Drew goes more than 6 feet under as he reveals the amazing afterlife customs of the Maya and Māori peoples. From the Day of the Dead to ancient underground petroglyphs, Drew learns Indigenous views on death.
Episode 5- Going Digital
From the Arctic to New Zealand and Ontario to Mexico, Drew learns how old Indigenous ways are going digital. Language revisitation on TikTok, Māori environmental science and Arctic sovereignty are at the forefront of the Indigenous digital revolution.
Episode 6- Going Māori
Drew reveals how the Māori people of volcanic New Zealand have sustained a unique and extraordinary identity. From street artists and the famous Haka dance to traditional cooking methods, Drew goes native in New Zealand.
Episode 7- Going Global Music
From Māori heavy metal to traditional folk instruments, Drew uncovers how Indigenous Peoples are now rocking the world and making their traditional languages available for millions to hear.
Episode 8- Going Down Under
Drew travels down under to witness how Australia’s First Nations live, hunt and maintain their ancient traditions while taking in some of Australia’s most beautiful sites. He even learns how to catch his own lunch while avoiding becoming lunch himself.
Episode 9- Going Performance
Lights, camera, Indigenous action. Drew reveals the Indigenous folks who are revitalizing today’s entertainment spotlight and providing hope and guidance for Indigenous youth across Turtle Island.
Episode 10- Going Toronto
Canada’s largest city has had a largely hidden Indigenous past, that is until now. Drew is in Toronto and is ready to reveal its native secrets. From ancient trails to some well-known Toronto landmarks, Indigenous fingerprints are everywhere in the Big Smoke.
Episode 11- Going Montreal
Drew travels to Montreal, Quebec to uncover the city’s 500-year-old Indigenous secrets. He learns the city is much more than smoked meat, poutine and hockey. Indigenous Peoples have had a profound impact on the city’s history, art and culture.
Episode 12- Going Winnipeg
Drew uncovers the lost Indigenous secrets of Winnipeg, known to Indigenous Peoples as Muddy Waters and the gateway to the West. He discovers how Winnipeg is embracing its Indigenous roots and revitalizing public spaces and institutions.
Episode 13- Going Arctic
Drew heads to the top of the world in Canada’s Arctic to explore how its Indigenous Peoples really live. He tastes some unique traditional foods and experiences near 24-hour daylight in the exciting season finale.
