Episode 1 - The Mi’kmaw stick
In Potlotek First Nation in Nova Scotia, Terry Denny is bringing back the old tradition of hockey stick making. He takes John through the process of crafting this unique piece of sports equipment and fills him in on the cultural significance of these sticks.
Episode 2 - Welcome to the Freddy’s
The Chief Thunderstick tournament brings the top Indigenous hockey teams to one place to battle for rez hockey supremacy. This year, John is taking the helm of his home community’s Kitigan-Zibi Bulls as they attempt to win the championship.
Episode 3 - It Takes a Community
The Anishinaabe community of Fort William First Nation has a beautiful arena. With two ice surfaces, this complex is bustling with activity and John discovers it’s the people behind the scenes that make it all come together.
Episode 4 - For the Love of the Game
It isn’t easy being a female professional hockey player. Victoria Bach, current PWHL player and member of Team Canada, is a perfect example of perseverance and determination. She shows John that her nine to five isn’t like anyone else’s.
Episode 5 - Gino Odjick
Gino Odjick was revered in the NHL as a warrior among warriors. From the community of Kitigan-Zibi to Vancouver, follow John on a journey to discovers the man behind the legend in this tribute episode.
Episode 6 - Little Stars at the Little NHL
The Little Native Hockey League, known as the Little NHL, is the largest Indigenous hockey tournament in Ontario. This year, the tournament is proud to promote their growing all-girls division.
Episode 7 - Quite the Collection
John meets Naim Cardinal in Kelowna, the owner of the largest Indigenous NHL rookie card collection in the world. He also meets the family of the late Johnny Harms who is featured in Upper Decks recently released special edition Indigenous rookie card set.
Episode 8 - Leaders and Role Models
Creighton Sanipass takes John to his community of Elsipogtog, New Brunswick to show him how positive influences shape a better tomorrow. Through education and sports, a new generation of Mi'kmaq youth is taking the lead in their community.
Episode 9 - Hockey Without Borders
Nathan Shirley, a young Navaho hockey player, coached young teenagers in Bosnia for Hockey Without Borders. Today, these players are living the dream of representing their country at the IIHF’s under twenty world championships being held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Episode 10 - Time to Give Back
John Chabot and a group of his friends from the NHL travel across northern Alberta bringing inspiration to youth living in remote communities. Their goal is simple: to share their own experiences to forge a path for the next generation.
Episode 11 - Orange T-Shirts
A hockey initiative, stemming from the Orange Shirt Society, sheds light through sport about the history of residential schools. John follows a young team as they participate in this revolutionary program called The Orange Jersey Project.
Episode 12 - Culture on Display, Ottawa Senators Indigenous Appreciation Night
During the 2018-2019 NHL season, The Ottawa Senators Community Foundation created an annual Indigenous appreciation night. John visits Kerry Andrews in the community of Pikwakanagan to learn how attending this year’s celebration affects her community.

In her first game as head coach of a division 3 varsity female hockey team, Akwesasne’s own Olivia Cook, leads her team into battle. Where does she find the time, where has she learned her work ethic, and will her team take home a victory on game day?
